Job Description

Own the Oceans communications program end to end, shaping strategy, editorial cadence, and cross‑team storytelling to advance conservation priorities while balancing workload, external collaboration, and best practices across channels.

  • Responsibilities: Lead communications planning and strategy in coordination with the senior director of communications.
  • Responsibilities: Manage the Oceans editorial calendar, content development, digital presence, blogs, and newsletters.
  • Responsibilities: Partner with Oceans leaders to develop approaches, prioritize projects, and guide meeting communications goals across seascapes, blue foods, and market and finance.
  • Responsibilities: Direct day‑to‑day Oceans team communications work, ensuring timely, high‑quality deliverables aligned with strategy.
  • Responsibilities: Ensure alignment and messaging consistency across the Oceans team and key internal stakeholders.
  • Responsibilities: Manage information requests from WWF colleagues, external partners, and the public with appropriate prioritization.
  • Responsibilities: Track communications activities and work with the senior director to optimize approaches.
  • Responsibilities: Monitor best practices and market insights to inform planning and execution.
  • Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned.
