Job Summary

Own Lance brand growth through clear P&L responsibility, cross-functional IBP leadership, and channel-spanning strategy that translates consumer insight into profitable plans.

  • Brand and growth ownership: strategy, portfolio innovation, pricing, and profitability tied to share and volume goals.
  • Cross-functional stewardship: collaborate with Marketing, Innovation, Insights, Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, and R&D to align on plans and budget.
  • Analytics-driven pacing: monitor trends, forecast performance, and adjust tactics to protect ROI and overall business results.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Deliver annual revenue, profit, and share growth goals for the Lance brand portfolio.
  • Develop and execute long-term brand and business growth strategies across all retail channels.
  • Partner with Integrated Marketing, Innovation, and Insights teams to build strategic growth plans.
  • Translate consumer insights into actionable marketing strategies, communication platforms, and business plans.
  • Lead portfolio innovation, including product, packaging, and design strategy.
  • Develop annual marketing plans that meet or exceed volume, profit, and market share objectives.
  • Monitor consumer, category, and competitive trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Serve as a key business leader in the Integrated Business Planning (S&OP) process.
  • Identify opportunities and risks through forecast and performance analysis.
  • Manage the marketing budget and ensure strategic allocation of resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 10+ years of brand management experience within the CPG industry.
  • Proven experience developing and executing successful brand growth strategies.
  • Strong P&L management and financial acumen.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to set direction and drive results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, influence, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex business initiatives.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.
  • Proven coaching, talent development, and people leadership skills.

Nice to Have (Preferred)

  • MBA strongly preferred.
  • Experience influencing and partnering with key retail customers.
  • Experience leading innovation initiatives, including new products and packaging.
  • Background developing consumer activation, promotional, shopper marketing, and communication strategies.
  • Competitive mindset with a strong drive for results.
  • Experience working across multiple business units and stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrated success leading large teams and complex organizational initiatives
