Job Summary

Own the storytelling engine for a K–12 communications program, shaping content across digital and print channels to elevate enrollment, donor engagement, and community pride.

  • Content Production & Storytelling: Create high-quality visuals and narratives aligned to brand and school milestones.
  • Asset Management & Brand Consistency: Maintain a centralized library and ensure uniform branding across platforms.
  • Cross-Functional Strategy: Collaborate with Advancement and Admissions to time campaigns around enrollment cycles and fundraising initiatives.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Produce compelling visual and written content for digital platforms, ensuring accuracy, quality, and brand consistency.
  • Develop storytelling-driven content that supports enrollment growth, donor engagement, and community pride.
  • Maintain and organize a comprehensive library of digital assets, including photos, videos, graphics, and templates.
  • Ensure all content meets school standards and follows appropriate approval processes.
  • Oversee and manage the school’s official website and social media platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, and TikTok.
  • Develop, schedule, and publish content that reflects the school’s brand identity and communication goals.
  • Tell the story of St. Mary’s High School through compelling posts that highlight student life, academic excellence, athletics, arts, and community values.
  • Monitor engagement, respond to messages and comments as appropriate, and analyze performance metrics to guide strategy.
  • Capture photos and videos at school events to support high-quality content creation.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive content calendar to ensure timely, strategic communication across platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience managing social media platforms for an organization or brand.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Self-starter and someone who is easily motivated by a fast-paced working environment.
  • Proficiency with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is required.
  • Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments and key stakeholders.
  • Understanding of marketing trends, analytics, and best practices.
  • Ability to translate school culture and mission into compelling narratives that support enrollment and fundraising goals.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or nonprofit environment is a plus.
