Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Director Marketing Communications is a full-time remote role responsible for shaping and executing Roarke Regenerative’s overall communications and marketing strategy.
  • This position oversees development of integrated marketing campaigns, brand messaging, and storytelling that highlight the organization’s mission, programs, and impact.
  • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading content creation across channels, managing media relations and public relations initiatives, and ensuring consistent, compelling messaging in press releases, digital platforms, and stakeholder communications.
  • The director collaborates closely with leadership and program teams to support fundraising, partnerships, and community engagement through effective marketing communications.
  • This role also includes performance tracking, budget oversight, and continuous optimization of communication activities to advance Roarke’s visibility and influence.

Requirements

  • Ability to develop and lead comprehensive marketing communications strategies, including Marketing Communications and Marketing
  • Experience managing external visibility and reputation through Public Relations and Media Relations
  • Strong skills in creating, reviewing, and distributing Press Releases and related executive and stakeholder communications
  • Proven experience in brand storytelling, campaign development, and multichannel content creation (web, email, social, print)
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to measure communication effectiveness and refine strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and consistency of tone and message
  • Experience supervising or mentoring communications and marketing staff or contractors
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field; advanced degree or nonprofit experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with climate, environmental, or sustainability initiatives and comfort communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively across time zones
