Responsibilities

  • ROLE SUMMARY The Director, Global Berobenatide Launch & Commercial Development is responsible for leading key elements of the global commercial development strategy for berobenatide, with primary accountability for the obesity indication and future lifecycle opportunities. The role shapes strategic recommendations, supports critical commercial decisions, and drives cross-functional alignment to advance development and commercialization objectives.
  • This role contributes to asset-level strategy, ensures alignment with portfolio priorities, and provides commercial recommendations to support key development and commercialization decisions.The Director will lead commercial planning and strategic development activities for berobenatide’s obesity indication closely partnering with the US affiliate to support launch preparation and ensure alignment on go-to-market strategy, access, and positioning.
  • ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Lead development of commercial strategies and recommendations for berobenatide’s obesity indication and future lifecycle opportunities, ensuring alignment with broader franchise objectives.
  • Translate clinical, competitive, customer, and market insights into strategic choices, differentiated positioning, and a compelling global value proposition.
  • Lead forecasting, scenario planning, and commercial analytics to inform, development decisions, lifecycle planning and launch readiness activities.
  • Lead Obesity indication global launch readiness efforts, including market segmentation, access strategy, customer targeting, and commercialization planning.
  • Serve as the primary global partner to the U.S. commercial organization, ensuring alignment between global strategy and local execution needs.
  • Integrate perspectives across global, regional, and International Commercial Organization (ICO) teams to deliver coordinated commercial execution and brand strategy.
  • Provide commercial input and strategic recommendations to senior leaders and governance forums regarding development, lifecycle planning, and commercialization activities.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across commercial, medical, clinical development, access, and regional teams to support achievement of development and launch milestones.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, PhD, MD, MPH, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or related industry experience.
  • Experience in global commercial development, marketing, launch strategy, portfolio strategy, or business leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives across global organizations.
  • Strong strategic thinking, forecasting, business analytics, and commercial planning capabilities.
  • Experience presenting recommendations and influencing decision-making across senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of obesity, cardiometabolic, or related therapeutic areas.

Preferred

  • Advanced scientific and business acumen with experience in obesity or metabolic disease.
  • Global launch experience for specialty or primary care brands.
  • Experience supporting late-stage development assets and commercialization planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in highly dynamic and evolving markets.
  • Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and organizational leadership skills.
