Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop comprehensive communications plans for fundraising initiatives.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of communications professionals.
  • Partner with senior executives to ensure consistent and effective messaging across initiatives.
  • Utilize storytelling strategies to support and enhance fundraising efforts.
  • Collaborate with national and regional marketing teams to develop and execute fundraising communications campaigns.
  • Manage complex, large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

  • - Key messages
  • - Press releases

Requirements

  • Education : Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
  • Management Experience: 5 years of management experience.
  • Travel : Travel may be required.

Preferred

  • Experience leading and developing communications teams.
  • Strong storytelling and content development skills.
  • Background supporting fundraising, philanthropy, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proven success managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and strategic communication skills.
  • Experience with media relations, reputation management, and digital content strategy.
