Description:
The Director, Facilities & Co-Generation is responsible for providing administrative oversight of Facilities Management, Co-Gen, Operations, and Maintenance of all ministry-owned facilities. This role ensures alignment with Trinity Health’s mission, values, and operational standards while driving performance, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective service delivery. The Director provides expert guidance to regional and local leadership, manages functional teams, and fosters cross-functional collaboration to ensure consistency and high performance across all assigned locations
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive leadership experience.
  • At least five (5) years of hospital maintenance, plant operations, or medical equipment management experience.
  • Knowledge of The Joint Commission (THC), Office of Statewide Healthcare Planning and Development (OSHPD) standards, California state and local administrative codes, NEC, and NFPA is required.
  • CHFM or equivalent professional certification/licensure (CHC, PE) preferred.
  • Strong financial and operational management background.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents (plans and specifications).
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and agencies including EPA, NFPA, OSHA, TJC, and DNV.
  • Extensive experience with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in healthcare settings.
  • Ability to meet physical demands including frequent lifting (up to 30 pounds), walking, standing, and exposure to clinical environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
