Job Description
Position Summary
The Director, Enterprise Change & Demand Management is responsible for designing, implementing, and governing enterprise-wide change management processes that guide work from initial intake through approval, planning, execution, and reporting. This role ensures that all demand—ranging from issue resolution and continuous improvement to large-scale, cross-functional programs—is evaluated, prioritized, and delivered in a way that balances business value, customer experience, and associate experience.
This hands-on role will act as a connector between business leaders, operational teams, technical partners, and Project Management. This role will influence and create simple, efficient, and scalable workflows that enable informed decision-making without adding unnecessary burden to the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Change & Demand Enablement
- Design, implement, and run the end-to-end change and demand intake process, guiding work from request submission through funding approval, scope definition, effort estimation, planning, and execution.
- Enable consistent evaluation and prioritization of all demand impacting the bank, including:
- Issue and problem remediation
- Regulatory, risk, and control-driven changes
- Process and technology improvements
- Cross-functional programs and strategic initiatives
- Establish clear criteria and decision frameworks to support prioritization, enabling business partners by simplifying how requests are defined, sized, routed and decisioned, helping teams get support without creating administrative burden.
Process & Workflow Design
- Partner with operational and technical leaders to design intake workflows that efficiently capture the right information from business leaders at the right time.
- Create lightweight standards that support strong governance while remaining practical in a fast-moving environment.
- Ensure processes are:
- Intuitive and easy to use
- Scalable across functions
- Focused on enabling, not hindering, business outcomes
- Continuously assess and refine processes to improve speed, clarity, and effectiveness.
Change Enablement & Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Project Management, Application, Product, and Technology delivery teams to ensure standards, methodologies, and procedures are consistently applied and translate into real execution practices.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business partners, supporting consistent use of intake criteria, stage gates, and portfolio hygiene routines (e.g., status quality, decision logs, scope change discipline).
- Promote strong change management discipline while remaining pragmatic and business focused.
- Flow information for Risk, Compliance and other partners to review &/or approve impact assessments.
- Bridge gaps between business intent and delivery reality by improving definition of done, sequencing, and dependency clarity.
Customer & Associate Experience Focus
- Embed customer and associate experience considerations into all change processes and decisions.
- Ensure that governance and controls add value and do not create unnecessary friction for business partners. Drive simplicity and clarity so their experience is as a service and not a barrier.
- Advocate for clarity, transparency, and simplicity in how change is requested, evaluated, and delivered.
Reporting & Transparency
- Provide reporting that makes visible all demand impacting the company, across sizes and types of work.
- Create dashboards and decision-ready views for leaders (pipeline, approvals, capacity impact, aging, portfolio mix).
- Establish data standards and definitions so reporting is trusted, actionable, and consistent.
Qualifications
- 8–12+ years of experience in change management, portfolio/demand management, program management, or business transformation
- Strong experience in designing and governing enterprise-wide processes
- Proven ability to partner with senior business, operational, and technology leaders
- Experience working closely with Project Management organizations and delivery teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving, communication, and facilitation skills
