  • The Director will lead the day-to-day creative development and production of campaign materials—from trailers and key art to digital AV, social content, experiential concepts, and theatrical marketing materials—guiding projects from initial concept and creative brief through production, delivery, launch, and post-campaign learnings.
  • Generate the Idea Develop distinctive campaign ideas and creative approaches that capture what makes each film special, connect with its audience, and create conversation around the release.
  • Bring Everyone Around It Turn strategy into clear, compelling creative briefs and confidently present campaign concepts and materials to filmmakers, talent, senior leadership, agencies, and other creative partners.
  • Own the day-to-day creative marketing strategy for assigned films from acquisition through release, in partnership with the President and EVP of Marketing.
  • Lead the development of AV marketing assets, including trailers, teasers, promotional videos, digital AV, and other campaign content that captures the distinct voice of each film.
  • Provide creative direction and quality control across key art, digital, social, theatrical, and promotional materials.
  • Develop a strong creative point of view for each campaign and ensure that it carries consistently across every audience touchpoint.
  • Evaluate creative work critically and provide clear, actionable feedback to internal teams, agencies, editors, designers, and other creative partners.
  • Translate high-level positioning, audience, and brand strategy into actionable campaign ideas, creative briefs, and deliverables.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in film or entertainment marketing, with significant experience developing creative campaigns for theatrical releases and experience managing and developing a team
  • Exceptional creative taste and strong film marketing instincts, with the ability to identify what makes a film distinctive and translate that into an original, compelling campaign
  • Demonstrated expertise developing trailers, teasers, key art, AV, digital, and social campaign creative across theatrical and streaming releases
  • A strong understanding of audiences and culture, with the ability to connect positioning and audience insights to creative ideas that generate conversation and drive discovery
  • A proven ability to develop, articulate, present, and defend a creative point of view, while incorporating feedback from filmmakers, talent, senior leadership, and other stakeholders
  • Experience leading complex creative campaigns and multi-vendor production workflows from concept through delivery, with the judgment to maintain creative quality while managing budgets, timelines, and competing priorities
  • Strong relationships with—or experience identifying and managing—creative agencies, editors, designers, filmmakers, talent representatives, creators, and other external creative partners
  • The ability to move comfortably between big-picture creative strategy and hands-on execution, whether brainstorming a campaign idea, giving notes on a trailer cut, reviewing key art, writing a creative brief, or troubleshooting a production challenge
  • A highly collaborative working style and experience partnering cross-functionally with teams including Production, Post, Digital, Distribution, Legal/Business Affairs, Publicity, and Theatrical Distribution
  • Deep curiosity about film, audiences, culture, social platforms, and the evolving ways people discover and engage with entertainment
