Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Humans for Housing is hiring a full-time Director of Communications to lead how our programs reach people.
  • This person produces our content, helps shape our communications strategy, and runs our communications channels.
  • We are seeking a creative with expertise in social media who believes deeply in the mission, and who holds a collaborative ability to shape our communications strategy with our advisors.
  • This person will also be visible at screenings, at traveling exhibit locations, on camera, and in social media replies.
  • We are looking for an organizational champion, someone whose energy for the work is clear to everyone they meet.
  • This role is based in the Portland metro area.
  • We are looking to have this position filled by November 2026.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience with 3+ years in communications, marketing, or digital content, with audience growth.
  • Social media skills, including platform instinct, content production, and marketing.
  • Located in the Portland Metropolitan Area.
