Job Description

Director of Clinical (Home Health)
Location: Portland, OR or Salem, OR (In-Person Role)
Starting: $60-$65 Per Hour
Job Type: Part-Time (24 Hours per week w/flexible days)
Schedule: Flexible days 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

BrightStar Care of Portland and Salem, a nationally recognized and Joint Commission-accredited leader in home health care and in-home nursing services, is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and forward-thinking Director of Clinical (DOC) to lead our clinical team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) who is passionate about improving patient outcomes, mentoring healthcare staff, and elevating the quality of care in a home health setting. Work-Life Balance:

  • Monday through Friday schedule (After-hours and weekend clinical support may be required occasionally, but these instances are very rare.)
  • Time will be split between the office and assessments out in the field.
  • 24 hours per week working 3 or 4 days. Flexible

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight to our nursing and caregiving team
  • Ensure clinical documentation, client care plans, and regulatory compliance meet local, state, and federal requirements
  • Conduct initial and follow-up nursing assessments to determine individualized care needs
  • Deliver direct skilled nursing care when needed
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to support clinical excellence
  • Supervise and coach clinical staff, promoting high standards of care
  • Stay current on home health regulations, best practices, and industry trends
  • Actively promote BrightStar Care services within the healthcare community

Qualifications:

  • Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon (Required)
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years of clinical nursing experience, including at least one (1) year in home health care
  • Previous leadership in nursing preferred
  • Reliable transportation with proof of insurance
  • In-depth knowledge of Oregon’s Nurse Practice Act and state/federal regulations
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Adherence to HIPAA and client confidentiality guidelines
