  • Own brand strategy, positioning, and messaging systems
  • Lead brand governance, measurement, and AI-enabled frameworks

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Brand strategy and positioning: Define and evolve Workiva's brand positioning and corporate narrative: category framing, platform story, and sharp differentiation into a cohesive messaging system that travels across every touchpoint. Translate company strategy into clear, compelling market positioning. Build a strategy for growing Workiva's awareness and share of voice in our category, so that when buyers think of financial reporting, GRC, or sustainability, they think of Workiva first.
  • Brand architecture, naming, and portfolio: Define Workiva's brand architecture and naming strategy. Partner with Product Marketing to develop and govern a clear, consistent naming and nomenclature system across products and experiences that scales as the portfolio grows, and reinforces the master brand.
  • Campaign strategy and management: Provide executive oversight and strategic direction for the brand campaign function, ensuring alignment with broad company objectives. Establish the vision, priorities, and operational standards for integrated marketing initiatives.
  • Brand measurement and insights: Build and own Workiva's brand measurement architecture, including brand health tracking, campaign effectiveness measurement, and the internal Brand Index. Connect brand metrics to real business outcomes: awareness, perception, pipeline, and retention. Turn raw data and research into sharp, actionable insights that give leadership a clear pulse on how customers, prospects, and the market perceive us. Deliver executive-ready reporting that makes brand investment quantifiable and defensible.
  • Brand management and governance: Own Workiva's brand standards, guidelines, and governance framework. Drive consistent brand expression across marketing, product, people and culture, and sales. Build scalable tools and enablement programs that make it easy for every team — globally and in every language — to show up as one brand.
  • AI-Forward Brand Systems: Leverage AI tools to develop brand strategies and scalable frameworks designed for speed, efficiency and impact. Future-proof how Workiva’s brand operates in a fast-moving marketing landscape.
  • Team leadership Lead and develop a team of brand and marketing professionals. Set direction, build capability, and create a high-performance culture that balances strategic rigor with executional excellence.
