Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Execute ecommerce merchandising strategies that improve product discovery, customer experience, conversion, and revenue.
  • Review and optimize categories, collections, product rankings, filters, and navigation.
  • Create and curate collections based on seasonality, inventory, promotions, customer demand, and business priorities.
  • Analyze onsite search behavior and improve search results, synonyms, product relevance, and zero-result terms.
  • Support promotional campaigns by merchandising featured products, collections, landing pages, and related onsite experiences.
  • Review product, vendor, category, and promotional performance and turn findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Conduct regular website audits to identify opportunities related to product presentation, navigation, content, and customer experience.
  • Monitor competitor websites and ecommerce trends to identify relevant merchandising opportunities.
  • Support testing and optimization initiatives and document results and recommended next steps.
  • Build recurring merchandising reports, scorecards, calendars, and review processes.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in ecommerce, digital merchandising, site merchandising, ecommerce operations, category management, or a related field.
  • Understanding of how customers search for, compare, and purchase products online.
  • Strong on hand experience using Shopify or another ecommerce platform.
  • Hands-on experience working in a Product Information Management (PIM) system or similar product data management platform.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail when working with product information and customer-facing content.
  • Ability to balance recurring responsibilities with strategic projects.
  • Ability to identify opportunities, recommend solutions, and follow work through completion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable learning and working across multiple systems.

Preferred

  • Experience merchandising categories, collections, landing pages, or onsite search results.
  • Familiarity with ecommerce analytics and KPIs such as revenue, conversion rate, average order value, traffic, and product performance.
  • Experience with onsite search, product recommendation, personalization, inventory, or feed management tools.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills. (ex. Pivot Tables, Vlookup, etc.)
  • Experience in sporting goods, apparel, footwear, team sports, or another product-driven retail environment.
