Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Film and edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook Reels, and YouTube Shorts
  • Capture behind-the-scenes content during classes, birthday parties, camps, and special events
  • Assist with social media planning, scheduling, and publishing
  • Brainstorm creative content ideas that help grow our audience
  • Learn how to create content that increases engagement and reaches local families
  • Photograph events, programs, and facility updates
  • Write social media captions, blog content, and marketing copy
  • Learn the basics of Local SEO and Google Business Profile optimization
  • Assist with website updates and blog publishing
  • Help create graphics using Canva

Requirements

  • University of North Texas (UNT) Requirements Minimum GPA: 2.75 Must obtain department consent (registration code required from Phyllis Slocum) Media Arts or CBCM major status OR Media Arts graduate status (with approval) Senior standing (minimum 90 credit hours completed, including at least 15 advanced MRTS hours) Maximum of 6 internship credit hours allowed Minimum of 50 work hours per 1 credit hour (typically 150 hours for 3 credit hours per semester) Must meet all requirements set by Amped Obstacles
  • University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) Requirements Must be enrolled in a UT Dallas degree-seeking program with a declared major Must be in good academic standing: Undergraduate: minimum 2.0 GPA Graduate: minimum 3.0 GPA Must have completed at least one semester at UT Dallas Credit hour requirements: Undergraduate: minimum 24+ completed credit hours (including transfer hours) Graduate: minimum 6+ completed credit hours Students may begin the internship process if they anticipate eligibility in the following semester Must meet any additional requirements set by their academic department
  • Must be enrolled in a UT Dallas degree-seeking program with a declared major
  • Must be in good academic standing: Undergraduate: minimum 2.0 GPA Graduate: minimum 3.0 GPA Must have completed at least one semester at UT Dallas Credit hour requirements: Undergraduate: minimum 24+ completed credit hours (including transfer hours) Graduate: minimum 6+ completed credit hours
