Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Supporter journey mapping: lead the development and optimisation of end-to-end digital supporter journeys across multiple touchpoints, ensuring communications are personalised, engaging, data-led and aligned to supporter needs.
  • Lifecycle marketing and automation: design and deliver data-led retention, upselling and reactivation campaigns that increase supporter engagement, income and lifetime value.
  • Segmentation and personalisation: develop audience segmentation strategies and personalised communications using behavioural, transactional and demographic data to improve relevance and performance.
  • Income growth: work with fundraising teams to develop digital campaigns that drive donations, regular giving and long-term supporter value.
  • Performance insight and optimisation: use data and a test-and-learn approach to analyse performance, spot opportunities and deliver data-led recommendations/ reports that increase engagement, income and supporter loyalty.
  • Copywriting and content development: create compelling communications for email, SMS, WhatsApp and other digital channels that inspires action and strengthens supporter relationships.
  • Platform management: manage the relationship with our email service platform, ensuring they deliver value, innovation and best practice.
  • Stakeholder management: work collaboratively with fundraising, services, digital, communication and central teams to develop integrated supporter experiences and shared objectives.
  • Compliance and governance: ensure all activity complies with GDPR, fundraising regulation and organisational policies relating to data and supporter communications.
  • Leadership and collaboration: support, coach and develop team members while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing and innovative team culture.

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering successful email marketing, lifecycle, retention or automation marketing programmes.
  • Strong experience using supporter or audience data to develop segmentation, personalisation and engagement strategies.
  • Demonstrable success in driving measurable improvements in engagement, income, retention or supporter value.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with experience interpreting campaign performance data and translating insight into action.
  • Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to create compelling communications that motivate audiences to engage, donate or take action.
  • Understanding of data management best practice, GDPR, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience developing testing frameworks including A/B testing, audience experimentation and optimisation programmes.
  • Experience leading, coaching and developing team members.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to influence and collaborate with colleagues across multiple teams.
  • Experience managing external suppliers, agencies or technology partners.
