Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create digital content for JAC’s social, email, web, and campaign channels, including graphics, carousels, quote cards, explainers, templates, digital forms, and other creative assets.
  • Produce and edit short-form videos for social media, including captions, clips, transitions, text overlays, and platform-specific formatting.
  • Draft clear and compelling social copy, including captions, post text, calls to action, and short-form explainers that make complex legal and policy issues accessible.
  • Support rapid-response moments by preparing timely graphics, captions, short videos, web updates, and other digital materials as news breaks or cases develop.
  • Help prepare assets and toolkits for influencer, content creator, coalition and partner engagement as needed.
  • Assist with basic content monitoring and engagement tracking across social, email, and web channels to identify timely opportunities and trends.
  • Make routine day-to-day updates to JAC’s websites and digital actions.
  • Support dignified storytelling that highlights JAC’s clients, class members, partners, and impacted communities, using approved story bank materials and messaging guidance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • No experience is required, however, 1-2 years of relevant experience creating digital content, including social media graphics, short-form video, digital storytelling, campaign materials, or other online content is preferred.
  • Experience with advocacy, nonprofit, movement-building, campaign, or mission-driven communications is preferred.
  • Strong visual design skills, with a solid understanding of layout, typography, color, visual hierarchy, accessibility, and platform-specific best practices.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools, with the ability to create polished, brand-aligned materials quickly.
  • Short-form video editing skills, including clips, captions, text overlays, transitions, and formatting for social media platforms.
  • Strong writing and copyediting skills, especially for social media captions, calls to action, short-form explainers, and advocacy content.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and adapt when priorities shift.
  • Basic website management experience, including WordPress or a similar content management system.
  • Creative instincts and demonstrated commitment to immigrant justice, social justice, or mission-driven advocacy.

Preferred

  • Spanish fluency is strongly preferred but not required.
