Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of work experience in communications, public relations, or marketing.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrates writing proficiency and experience managing business social media accounts, including monitoring and analytics platforms. Strong verbal communication and multitasking abilities. Technical expertise in digital asset and video board content management. Working knowledge of web development, content management systems, and search engine optimization. Ability to capture photography and develop basic graphic designs for social media and visual display materials.

Requires occasional exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level, exposure to heat and cold working hours, occasional working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours, occasional travelling to offsite locations, occasional bending, occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds, occasional crouching/stooping, occasional driving, occasional kneeling, occasional pushing/pulling, occasional reaching, constant sitting, occasional standing, and occasional walking (occasional-up to 20%, frequent-from 21% to 50%, constant-51% or more).
The University of Mississippi Medical Center, located in Jackson, is the state’s only academic medical center.
