Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Performs technical work in creating marketing and social media content for the City Commissioner Office of District 5.
  • Developing and posting engaging and informative web content and maintaining social media accounts.
  • Employee is expected to exercise independent judgement, discretion, and initiative in performance of duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or related field and one (1) year experience in website content development and social media management; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License required.
  • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
  • Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree;
  • Six (6) years of direct experience for a master’s degree;
  • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of CMS best practices, social media/web trends and some familiarity with graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, is preferred.
