Responsibilities

• Manage the organization’s annual grant program, including planning, research, writing, submission, and reporting for public and private grants.
• Create and maintain the annual development and grant calendar to ensure timely submissions and compliance.
• Prepare grant budgets, supporting documentation, and required financial and narrative reports.
• Develop and manage donor communications, including newsletters, appeals, updates, and acknowledgements.
• Maintain and utilize donor and grants databases and records to track gifts, reporting requirements, and supporter engagement.
• Create, review, and edit organizational communications such as brochures, reports, press releases, and donor materials.
• Support development events, advocacy communications, and other fundraising projects in collaboration with the Executive Director and staff.
• Strong grant writing, editing, and storytelling skills with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising practices, donor stewardship, and grant compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organization and time-management skills.

Requirements

• Satisfactory criminal background check required
• Valid driver’s license with proof of current auto insurance
• Working phone, computer, printer, and high-speed internet
• Ability to physically access and navigate the office and program locations
• Must be able to regularly lift 15 pounds
