Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality visual communications for digital, print, social media, presentations, reports, and integrated communications campaigns.
  • Design infographics, illustrations, branded materials, campaign assets, and visual storytelling products that communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Develop creative concepts and visual approaches that align with audience needs, communications objectives, and brand standards.
  • Support the design and production of social media graphics, digital content, event materials, executive presentations, and enterprise communications products.
  • Collaborate with writers, strategists, UX specialists, researchers, and communications teams to translate ideas and insights into compelling visual solutions.
  • Produce and maintain design assets that align with brand guidelines, visual identity systems, and established creative standards.
  • Support the creation of motion-enhanced graphics, animated explainers, and multimedia content where appropriate.
  • Participate in creative reviews and feedback sessions, incorporating input while maintaining design integrity and quality.
  • Ensure all design outputs adhere to accessibility requirements, usability standards, and enterprise quality expectations.
  • Maintain organized asset libraries, templates, project files, and version control processes.

Requirements

  • Degree or relevant experience in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Art, Multimedia Design, Fine Arts, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, as required by the position.
  • Experience developing visual communications, graphic design solutions, branding assets, or multimedia content within a professional creative environment.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in graphic design, visual storytelling, branding, and digital content creation.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and related design tools.
  • Experience utilizing AI-assisted content development, research, and optimization tools to enhance content quality, audience engagement, and workflow efficiency.
  • Curiosity in technology landscape and how AI is changing communications.
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, visual hierarchy, and design principles.
  • Experience designing content across digital, print, social media, presentation, and campaign environments.
  • Ability to translate complex concepts and information into clear, engaging, and visually compelling communications.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with motion graphics, animation, multimedia production, or interactive design is preferred.
  • Experience working within established design systems, component libraries, or enterprise brand frameworks is preferred.
  • Experience supporting federal government, public affairs, international development, or mission-driven communications programs is preferred.
