Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Design day-to-day marketing materials including advertisements, email and website graphics, social media posts (static and animated), single and multi-page documents, and promotional assets for both internal and client-facing use
  • Create comprehensive branding for conferences, events, and sponsorships including print and digital signage that uphold our existing visual identity system
  • Execute urgent, high-stakes and time-sensitive campaigns with multi-channel outputs that adhere to the established design strategy and brand positioning
  • Own the full design process from concept through final production including presenting to executive stakeholders

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor the design team to foster a collaborative, high-performance culture that balances creativity with accountability
  • Review and approve design work produced by the team, ensuring alignment with brand standards and providing constructive feedback to elevate team output
  • Manage workload distribution, resource planning and design team capacity

Partnerships & Agency Management

  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members in Digital & Social Media, Content Strategy, Event Planning, and Business Marketing to understand strategic objectives
  • Present design recommendations to senior stakeholders with confidence and strategic rationale
  • Partner with and oversee Creative Agency projects, providing feedback and final approval on creative outputs to ensure cohesion and alignment to brand standards

Brand Governance & Operations

  • Provide final approval on all logo and branding use (internal and external) to guarantee compliance with brand guidelines, proper file formats usage, and visual identity standards across partnerships, merchandise, promotional materials, and third-party communications
  • Manage design request intake and workflow processes through Asana to enable optimal project tracking, task delegation among designers and external agencies, and clear prioritization of incoming requests
  • Lead the Creative Agency’s retainer planning while actively managing resource allocation to ensure alignment to team budgets and project capacity
  • Provide solutions for visual accessibility issues on digital properties to ensure WCAG compliance, including addressing color contrast issues, typography legibility, and other accessibility standards

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional design experience with at least 3-5 years in a senior or leadership role (senior designer, design director, or design lead)
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)—you must be production-ready and comfortable working in these tools daily
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in hands-on execution across diverse projects including email graphics, social media content, conference branding, event signage, brochures, factsheets, and digital marketing materials
  • Proven track record leading design teams in a corporate, agency, or financial services environment
  • Deep understanding of brand systems, typography, layout, and production workflows for both print and digital
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Strong communication skills and experience presenting outputs to senior stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, or related field

Preferred

  • Experience in financial services, professional services, or B2B marketing environments
  • Track record of managing budgets, vendors, and cross-functional partnerships
  • Comfortable juggling multiple projects simultaneously, from quick-turn email graphics to multi-week conference branding initiatives
  • Solutions-oriented mindset with ability to balance creative ambition with business pragmatism
  • Experience mentoring junior designers while maintaining substantial personal design output
  • Proven ability to work within established brand guidelines while bringing fresh creative perspectives
  • Familiarity with WCAG guidelines and accessible design principles, particularly around color contrast and visual accessibility
