What does a Demand Planning Analyst do at Swire Coca-Cola?
The Demand Analyst ensures a market forecast is developed, reviewed, published, and adjusted as needed by partnering with sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain. The Demand Analyst will manage a portfolio of SKUs and will develop a forecast by using insights such as promotional plans, distribution changes, shipment history, competitor activities and marketing plans. This position is a key driver in creating and managing the true consumer demand signals by which to align the rest of the supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze historical and future demand inputs such as distribution changes, new products launches, and calculate their impacts on demand
  • Work with statistical forecast to ensure statistical models are creating sensible baseline forecasts; help maintain clean history in Demand Tool
  • Work with cross-functional partners on projects such as new product launches, obsolescence, and transitions to evaluate assumptions– new product forecast, pipeline fill, and cannibalization
  • Collaborate with Commercialization, Marketing, Sales, and Finance on promotional plans and evaluate against performance from similar historical activities
  • Mentors and trains team members on systems and processes. Trains partners and groups in other business units or departments
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or GED) accepted, with additional experience (see below) required
  •  Bachelor's Degree required in business related area required and 1-2 years of Analyst experience required 
  • 4-6 years of equivalent work experience in operations, sales, planning and/or supply chain will be considered in place of a Bachelor's degree required
  • APICS certification preferred
  • Familiar with SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO)
  • Supply chain knowledge & Inventory Control knowledge
  • Advanced MS Office Suite Products
  • Analytical/quantitative skills required
  • Prior project management experience
  • Analytical Thinking in terms of problem solving
  • Proven ability to work independently
