Responsibilities

• Assist customers at Talkie storefront locations
• Answer incoming telephone calls and provide friendly, professional assistance
• Make outbound calls to current and potential customers
• Follow up with customer leads, inquiries, and promotional opportunities
• Represent Talkie at community events, festivals, and promotional activities
• Conduct door-to-door outreach within local communities
• Speak with residents about Talkie’s internet, phone, and other services
• Answer questions and help customers identify services that may meet their needs
• Collect accurate customer information and generate qualified leads
• Assist with creating, capturing, and posting approved social media content

Requirements

• Weekend availability is required
• Reliable transportation is required
• Ability to travel between storefronts, events, and assigned outreach areas
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Comfortable approaching and starting conversations with new people
• Comfortable making outbound calls and answering incoming calls
• Comfortable appearing in or helping create social media content when needed
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

• Previous experience in customer service, retail, sales, marketing, call centers, canvassing, or community outreach
• Experience working at community events or promotional activities
• Experience creating or posting business-related social media content
• Familiarity with the local community and surrounding service areas
