Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Corporate Communications & Editorial Summer Intern will support Authentic’s corporate narrative, internal communications and owned-channel storytelling.
  • This role is focused on internal and external corporate content, editorial production, as well as operational execution across Authentic’s channels.
  • Draft content for Authentic’s owned platforms, including the Authentic newsletter, Authentic Newsroom and corporate social channels
  • Support corporate storytelling, including announcements, internal updates and thought leadership content
  • Assist with content planning, calendars and approvals to keep editorial workflows moving smoothly
  • Manage and update trackers, content logs and corporate materials to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Compile and maintain corporate contact lists and distribution lists
  • Prepare internal and external recap reports as well as develop ad hoc case studies based on business needs
  • Monitor and research activity impacting Authentic and its portfolio of brands (corporate news, partnerships, industry trends, etc.)
  • Compile media and industry summaries for internal stakeholders
  • Support background research for executive communications and corporate initiatives

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student
  • Able to work up to 20 hours per week
  • Able to work onsite at Authentic’s NYC HQ
  • Major in journalism, communications, editorial, marketing, digital media or related field
  • Strong writing, communication, storytelling and project management skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and workflows
  • Comfortable working with complex information and translating it into clear, concise content
  • Familiarity with tools such as Adobe, Microsoft Office, Slack, Mailchimp and Muck Rack (experience with CMS platforms is a plus)
  • Detail-oriented, proactive and willing to take ownership of assignments
  • Collaborative, dependable and eager to learn in a fast-paced corporate environment
