As a Content Writer/Journalist, you will own the storytelling process from sourcing and interviewing to writing, editing, and distributing articles, press releases, social media posts, and video scripts for Dixie Tech, while covering campus events with the Marketing & Communications team.

Responsibilities
- Writing and Storytelling
- Find and develop stories from across Dixie Technical College
- Interview students, alumni, employees, employers, and community partners
- Write articles, news stories, and press releases for distribution to local and regional media
- Write social media posts, website content, emails, and video scripts
- Video and Events
- Conduct and participate in on-camera interviews
- Assist with short-form video and social media content
- Cover College events and activities
- Teamwork and Policies
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent writing, editing, interviewing, and storytelling skills
- Ability to write professional news articles and press releases for media distribution
- Creative, curious, and able to identify good stories
- Understanding of social media and digital content
- Comfortable speaking and interviewing people on camera
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while covering campus events and interviews
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and climb stairs
