Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Produce 10–15 pieces of short-form content per month across platforms, with a content mix balancing lifestyle, founder-led, and brand-building pieces;
  • Host most of the lifestyle content yourself;
  • Plan and execute quarterly batch shoots with the founder (2–3 days per quarter, in PR or occasionally in Houston);
  • Draft scripts, briefs, and LinkedIn posts for founder approval via weekly call;
  • Manage the content calendar, posting schedule, and basic analytics;
  • Run a compliance approval workflow (we'll provide the framework and the attorneys; you'll route content through it);
  • Capture B-roll, conduct expert interviews when LDSCO actuaries or attorneys are available, and build a library of evergreen footage;
  • Develop and refine the channel's voice over time based on what's working.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Demonstrate experience creating engaging video and social media content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube/YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn,
  • Strong on-camera presence with the confidence, personality, and communication skills to serve as a recurring host and recognizable face of the company's content,
  • Ability to develop content from start to finish, including concept development, scripting, storyboarding, filming, interviewing, editing, captioning, and publishing,
  • Proficiency with professional or prosumer video production equipment, including cameras, microphones, lighting, and related production tools,
  • Proficiency with video-editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or comparable platforms,
  • Strong understanding of short-form video storytelling, including hooks, pacing, audience retention, calls to action, and platform-specific content styles,
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to translate technical or business topics into content that is interesting, understandable, and relatable,
  • Ability to interview executives, employees, clients, and other subjects while creating a natural and comfortable on-camera environment,
  • Working knowledge of social media trends, audience development, engagement metrics, and content performance,

Preferred

  • A bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, broadcasting, film/video production, digital media, or a related field. Demonstrate creative ability, professional experience, and the quality of your portfolio will receive significant consideration.
