Job Description
Catalyst is looking for a sharp, creative, and execution-oriented Content Intern to help us tell the story of our company, community, and work.
This role is ideal for someone who understands social media, has good taste, writes clearly, and knows how to turn ideas, events, conversations, and behind-the-scenes moments into content people actually want to engage with.
You’ll work closely with the founding team to support content across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, newsletters, and other channels as we grow Catalyst’s presence.
What you’ll do- Capture and edit short-form video content for social media
- Create posts for LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms
- Help turn founder thoughts, company updates, and event moments into strong content
- Support content planning, scheduling, and posting
- Research trends, formats, and creators relevant to our audience
- Help document Catalyst events, meetings, and community moments
- Write captions, hooks, and short copy that feels clear, human, and on-brand
- Track basic content performance and suggest improvements
- You’re creative, organized, and reliable
- You have strong writing instincts and can make ideas sound compelling
- You understand what performs on social media
- You’re comfortable filming, editing, and posting content
- You have a good eye for aesthetics, storytelling, and brand
- You move fast and can take feedback without overthinking
- You’re interested in startups, community, culture, business, or media
- You’re based in or near NYC, or able to attend occasional in-person meetings/events
- Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe, Figma, Notion, or similar tools
- Experience creating content for a brand, founder, student org, startup, or personal page
- Basic understanding of LinkedIn growth, short-form video, newsletters, or community building
- Photography, videography, editing, or copywriting experience
