Content Creator & Social Media Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Your main focus will be content creation and social media marketing. Alongside this, you’ll help run reception when you’re in the salon, greeting clients, answering calls, booking appointments and taking payments.
• Content creation and social media: Film hair transformations, advice, team features and behind-the-scenes moments.
• Edit short videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
• Help develop longer YouTube videos with Fergal.
• Create strong opening hooks, captions, Stories and graphics.
• Spot relevant hair-industry trends and suggest original ways to adapt them.
• Help develop our social media strategy and maintain a content calendar.
• Prepare, schedule and publish approved content across our channels.
• Review performance and suggest what to repeat, improve or stop.
• Use tools such as Canva, video-editing apps, ChatGPT and Claude.

Requirements

• A creative eye and examples showing that you enjoy making content.
• A friendly, professional manner in person and on the phone.
• Confidence communicating your ideas and a willingness to develop your on-camera skills.
• Some familiarity with video editing and Canva or similar tools.
• An interest in hair, beauty, storytelling and social media.
• Accuracy when handling appointments, payments and client details.
• Reliability, organisation and a positive response to feedback.
• The ability to work independently on agreed tasks and ask for help when needed.
• Reliable transport to work across both salon locations.

Preferred

• Experience in reception, customer service, YouTube or social media would be useful, but we welcome applicants with potential and enthusiasm.
