Responsibilities

• Create daily short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and other social platforms.
• Photograph new and pre-owned vehicle inventory for marketing campaigns and online listings.
• Produce vehicle walkarounds, product highlights, customer delivery videos, dealership events, and behind-the-scenes content.
• Edit video and photography content using professional editing tools while maintaining brand consistency.
• Collaborate with sales, service, and management teams to identify new content opportunities.
• Write engaging social media captions, hashtags, and calls-to-action designed to increase engagement.
• Monitor emerging social media trends, viral formats, and platform best practices.
• Support livestreams, promotional campaigns, community partnerships, and special events.
• Maintain an organized digital asset library containing photos, videos, graphics, and other marketing materials.
• Monitor content performance and provide recommendations to improve reach, engagement, and social media performance.

Requirements

• Experience creating content for social media platforms.
• Strong photography and videography skills.
• Proficiency with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar tools.
• Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable design software.
• Comfortable appearing on camera and directing others during filming.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability and willingness to work onsite at St. James, Smithtown, or Huntington, New York.

Preferred

• Previous experience creating content for an automotive dealership, automotive brand, or retail environment.
• Knowledge of automotive products, vehicles, and dealership operations.
• Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and emerging social media formats.
• Experience developing content strategies based on audience engagement and performance data.
• Strong visual storytelling and creative direction skills.
• Experience supporting live events, promotional campaigns, or community marketing initiatives.
• Ability to identify trends and quickly turn them into relevant, brand-appropriate content.
