Responsibilities

• Create photo and video content featuring Spooky Cat Press products and artwork, our storefront, behind-the-scenes work, and events we attend, sponsor, or vend at
• Film and edit short-form video content for Instagram and Facebook Reels, TikTok, and other social platforms
• Edit photos and videos into polished, ready-to-post content
• Write and edit captions that reflect the Spooky Cat Press brand voice
• Schedule and organize social media content using our content management tools
• Research social media trends, trending sounds, formats, and content ideas
• Brainstorm creative concepts and new ways to showcase our products, artwork, and brand
• Help maintain an organized library of photos, videos, and other content
• Assist with capturing content at occasional local events, photoshoots, product launches, and seasonal store changes
• Work closely with the owner to turn marketing ideas, campaigns, and product launches into engaging social content

Requirements

• Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Reels, and short-form social content
• Proficiency with CapCut, Adobe Express, Premiere Pro, or similar video editing software
• Comfortable shooting quality photo and video content with a smartphone and/or camera
• A strong creative eye for composition, styling, lighting, and visual storytelling
• Able to recognize social media trends and adapt them in a way that makes sense for our brand
• Strong writing skills and the ability to learn and maintain an established brand voice
• Organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple pieces of content at once
• Able to work independently while also taking creative direction and feedback
• Familiarity with Meta Business Suite and social media scheduling tools is a plus
• Interest in Halloween, spooky culture, art, gifts, and stationery is strongly preferred

Preferred

• Graphic Design Skills Are a Big Plus: Candidates with a graphic design background and proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator will be given additional consideration. Please include examples of design work in your portfolio if applicable.
• Portfolio: Please include a portfolio link, social media account, or examples of photo, video, editing, or social media work with your application. Personal, school, freelance, and professional projects are all welcome.
