Community Relations Associate for Sr Placement

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, local leaders, and stakeholders through regular communication and outreach activities
• Plan, organize, and execute community engagement events, public presentations, and outreach campaigns to raise awareness of our programs
• Manage social media platforms and digital marketing efforts to promote community initiatives and foster online engagement
• Develop compelling written content for newsletters, press releases, social media posts, and community reports that effectively communicate our mission and activities
• Coordinate volunteer programs, manage volunteer recruitment, training, and recognition efforts to support community projects
• Collect data on outreach activities, track engagement metrics, and prepare reports to evaluate program effectiveness
• Collaborate with internal teams on strategic planning, budgeting, and project management to ensure successful execution of community initiatives

Requirements

• Proven experience in community outreach, public relations, or social media management
• Strong media relations skills with the ability to liaise effectively with local press and community partners
• Excellent public speaking and presentation skills for engaging diverse audiences
• Demonstrated project management capabilities with organizational skills to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to connect with a broader demographic
• Experience in fundraising or business development is a plus
• Exceptional communication, writing skills, and customer service orientation to foster positive relationships with stakeholders
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and planning purposes
