Job Summary

Own end-to-end community outreach by booking and running events, engaging volunteers, capturing content, and tracking ROI across campaigns.

  • Own event logistics and follow-up processes
  • Capture content and nurture leads
  • Track campaign performance and report results

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Book the events. Most organizers do not post vendor fees or forms online, so getting us a booth or a truck in a parade means calling town recreation departments and local business groups and following up when nobody answers.
  • Run them. Load the gear, arrive early, set up, staff the booth, break down. Most run two to four hours, and community events land on evenings and weekends.
  • Work the crowd. Talk to neighbors, be warm with kids, be patient with the person who wants to tell you about their water heater. Collect contact information and ask happy customers for reviews. Names collected is the number that matters most.
  • Capture and post. Photos and short video at every event, turned into content for our social channels, plus giveaways and contests that bring people to us online.
  • Direct mail. Help plan and run mailings into the towns we are trying to grow in. Pulling the lists, working with the printer, and timing drops around the season and around events.
  • Local ads. Help set up and run our local advertising, and keep the offers and creative current instead of stale.
  • Follow up. Get the names we collected into our system and make sure somebody actually reaches out. A lead nobody calls is not a lead.
  • Track what works. Keep one place where we can see what each campaign cost and what it produced: calls, leads, booked jobs, reviews. Tell us honestly which ones are not worth repeating.
  • Report back. A short note after each event and a monthly look at the numbers together.

Requirements

  • Comfortable starting conversations with people you have not met, including kids and older neighbors
  • Good with a phone camera and social apps, and willing to be on camera yourself sometimes, not just behind it
  • Curious about AI rather than wary of it. We use it day to day for writing, research, and keeping track of what campaigns cost and what they brought in, and you would too
  • Willing to pick up the phone, and to follow up a second and third time
  • Organized and reliable, especially about showing up on time for something that only happens once
  • Able to lift and carry event gear and be on your feet for a few hours
  • Valid driver's license and a clean record
  • Knows the South Shore, or is keen to
