Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Community Manager is responsible for the overall operations and performance of the property, ensuring it runs efficiently, remains compliant, and provides a positive experience for residents and staff.
  • This role oversees all key functions, including HUD Section 8 and Tax Credit programs , rental applications, rent collections, annual recertifications, compliance, reporting, and file management.
  • The Community Manager also leads resident relations, vendor partnerships, budget adherence, and unit inspections.
  • This position supervises and supports the onsite team, including Leasing Agents, Assistant Managers, and Maintenance staff, ensuring strong curb appeal, timely unit turns, and responsive work order completion.

Requirements

  • Experience managing affordable housing, including HUD, Section 8, and LIHTC programs
  • Strong understanding of compliance, recertifications, audits, and file management
  • Proven ability to lead onsite teams and oversee daily property operations
  • Skilled in resident relations, rent collections, budgeting, and vendor coordination
  • Organized, dependable leader focused on property performance and community standards
  • Valid Drivers license is required
