Community Manager (On-Site)

The Grand is a premier active adult community of 9,802 homes and approximately 17,000 residents, serving a vibrant 45+ homeowner association with exceptional amenities, clubs, events, and lifestyle programming.

We are seeking an experienced Community Manager to provide executive-level leadership across community operations. This is an on-site role working directly with the General Manager and Board of Directors, with direct oversight of Facilities & Maintenance, Membership & Standards, Information Technology, Marketing & Communications, and Lifestyles & Programming. The role is approximately 60% strategic leadership and 40% operational oversight, and includes acting in the General Manager's capacity when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direct oversight of five key operational departments (Facilities, Membership & Standards, IT, Marketing & Communications, Lifestyles & Programming)
• Act in the capacity of the General Manager when unavailable
• Lead strategic planning and drive execution of Board-approved plans, including the Technology Roadmap and Strategic Plan
• Coach and develop department leaders
• Oversee departmental budgets, capital projects, contracts, and resource allocation and long-range operational planning
• Serve as a liaison between the Board, residents, and staff
• Lead crisis communication and resident engagement efforts
• Navigate complex resident, operational, and governance matters with professionalism and sound judgment
• Manage special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business or related field; equivalent executive-level experience may be considered
• 5+ years of experience in Property Operations, Hospitality, or HOA management
• Experience leading multiple departments and developing senior-level managers
• Demonstrated executive decision-making, financial management, budgeting, and capital project experience and strong budgetary experience
• Experience working with a governing board, advisory committees, or a comparable governance structure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable with public speaking
• Ability to manage competing multiple priorities, frequent interruptions, sensitive issues, and high under pressure with frequent interruptions
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and Outlook 365
• Valid Arizona driver's license required
