Job Description

This work study position will be designed to fit the skills and interests of the right candidate. The primary focus of this role is developing outreach materials - social media posts, posters, online newsletters with original content (illustrations, photographs, designs, etc.). This position will also support projects/events supported through the Kenney Center for Community Engagement and Outreach.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Utilize artistic skills to develop unique social media and print materials to promote opportunities and initiatives.

  • Take on other projects based on your skills and interests - for example: designing activity materials for children, photographing events, managing social media

  • Support large-scale community engagement events including service days, collaborative events with local schools, and various division-wide programs.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Union College student who is eligible for work study

  • Must be available to work at least one Common Hour (12:50-1:40pm) each week

  • Must be attentive to detail and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Experience with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Affinity, Canva, or similar is preferred

  • General proficiency in Google Workspace is required
