Responsibilities

• Acts as a liaison to external organizations
• Screens external speaking requests
• Composes event briefings including drafting talking points
• Does outreach out to community partners and other individuals to orchestrate events
• Manages Opioid Task Force
• Designs and updates PowerPoint presentations for community programs, presentations, and trainings
• Designs fliers, pamphlets, and brochures
• Compiles, maintains, and analyzes program data
• Maintains and updates calendars and external contact lists
• Maintains external e-mail distribution lists and facilitates e-mail blasts to community partners

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and/or previous project management or paralegal experience preferred
• Self-starter, with proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational and project management skills with a strong attention to detail
• Strong computer skills and the ability to use and adapt to a variety of software programs
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Experience with Photoshop preferred
• Outstanding interpersonal skills
• A sincere interest in the public sector and the work of the MDAO
