Responsibilities

• Develop and implement community outreach strategies to expand non-profit sector engagement and visibility
• Cultivate relationships with community leaders, local organizations, volunteers, and stakeholders through proactive communication and collaboration
• Plan and deliver public presentations for community outreach events, workshops, and informational sessions
• Manage social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns to promote programs and initiatives effectively
• Coordinate volunteer recruitment, training, and management to support community projects and events
• Oversee media relations efforts by preparing press releases, managing media inquiries, and fostering positive public relations
• Monitor program progress through strategic planning, budgeting, and reporting to ensure goals are met efficiently

Requirements

• College education of at least 2 years.
• Prior experience in community engagement or outreach roles within non-profit or related sectors is preferred.
• Strong media relations skills with experience in social media management and social media marketing strategies
• Excellent public speaking abilities for delivering presentations and engaging diverse audiences
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and planning purposes
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Effective relationship management skills to build trust with community members and partners
• Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to reach broader audiences effectively
• Demonstrated experience in project management, client communication, volunteer coordination, and business development
• Strong written communication skills for creating compelling content for marketing materials and reports
