Job Description

Responsibilities

Develop and execute an integrated global communications and public relations strategy that elevates Vital Voices’ mission, impact, and global brand.
Serve as the senior communications advisor to executive leadership, providing counsel on messaging, media engagement, reputation management, and external positioning.
Lead proactive media relations strategies, including press outreach, media partnerships, interviews, briefings, press releases, and story development.
Cultivate relationships with journalists, editors, influencers, and communications partners.
Position Vital Voices leaders and network members as thought leaders on global issues impacting women and communities worldwide.
Prepare executives and organizational spokespeople for media interviews, speaking engagements, and public appearances.
Develop crisis communications strategies and manage reputational issues when needed.
Monitor media coverage, industry trends, and emerging issues affecting the organization.
Develop and maintain Vital Voices’ global brand narrative and messaging framework.
Lead storytelling strategies that amplify the achievements and impact of Vital Voices leaders across 188 countries.
