Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Administrative tasks, communicating directly with donors and volunteers, creating and distributing informational marketing materials; assisting with the management of Mission, site-based, and volunteer generated special events; capturing information for internal tracking and analysis purposes.
  • Provide support for helping youth and families create a better future in line with the values, mission, and treatment philosophy of Trinity Youth Services.
  • Responsible for all incoming telephone calls through main Foundation telephone lines, directs callers to the appropriate personnel and takes messages as needed.
  • Receives and distributes incoming mail, prepares, and processes outgoing USPS and intra/inter-office mail and processes packages and overnight mail sent through private carriers.
  • Serves as initial contact person for the Development team in support of children and youth in foster care and residential placement, as well as those youth transitioning out of placement.
  • Assists in the successful execution of special events, community outreach, and volunteer activities to meet goals set by Chief Operations Officer and/or Director of Development.
  • Coordinates site visits and tours of campuses, schools, and offices as it relates to volunteer, donor, and event activities.
  • Responds to and tracks communications and inquiries via telephone, email, social media, text, mail and more in a timely and professional manner.
  • Participates in trade/industry fairs, community events, and conferences as assigned.
  • Assists with the communication and marketing programs and keeps current with the latest trends and approaches in communications and marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Business Administration, Communications, or related field from an accredited institution is required; three consecutive years of community outreach and/or project management experience in a non-profit environment may be substituted for education.
  • A minimum of two years related experience in marketing, advertising, public relations, nonprofit development, or commensurate field.
  • Must have strong project management skills, including budgeting and demonstrated ability to execute multiple concurrent projects.
  • Must be able to manage administrative aspects of project completion and have the ability to create promotional, marketing concepts.
  • Computer literate and possess working knowledge and demonstrated ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, and database management programs, and web technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge development software preferred.
  • Must communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing in English.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older and able to pass a physical examination; drug clearance; criminal background check and Child Abuse Index check.
  • Must possess a valid California driver’s license with clean DMV history and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and be insurable by Trinity’s insurance carrier.

  • Experience using Blackbaud Raiser's Edge development software preferred.
