Responsibilities
- Create branded program materials (e.g., presentations, program flyers, email templates and other outreach materials) to support economic inclusion training and programming.
- Support the development of quarterly regional newsletter and other communications for ECC Northeast allies, partners, and program alumni.
- Draft, edit, and proofread written communications, including blog posts, newsletters, press releases, and website content.
- Assist with developing, scheduling, and maintaining content for social media platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Support storytelling initiatives by collecting quotes, testimonials, photos, and success stories from staff, partners, and community members.
- Assist with event promotion, registration coordination, and digital engagement activities before, during and after program events.
- Attend program events and capture content that highlights program impact and aligns with ECC’s mission and values.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas related to storytelling, community engagement, and communications initiatives.
- Provide administrative and programmatic support for economic inclusion initiatives, including preparing meeting agendas, taking notes, organizing documents, and tracking project activities.
- Conduct research on clean energy, workforce development, and economic inclusion topics to support program development, communications, and partnership efforts.
Requirements
- Required
- Undergraduate Junior/Senior, recent graduate, or current graduate student pursuing environmental science, policy, communications, education, urban planning, or a related field.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in communications, marketing, and outreach to diverse communities and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with graphic design tools, such as Canva, to support the development of outreach and communications materials.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube) and an interest in digital communications strategies and tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel.
- Strong written, verbal communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to advancing racial and social equity through community-centered work.
