Job Description
Responsibilities
- The Communications & Marketing Specialist will develop and deploy various communications and marketing assets such as digital media, advertising and promotional materials that will increase visibility and usage of the services provided by the units within the Division.
- The Communications & Marketing Specialist supports the work of the Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs by developing and deploying various communications and marketing assets.
- This includes digital media, advertising, and promotional materials that are part of a strategic and integrated communications plan seeking to increase the visibility and usage of the services, resources and opportunities provided by units within the Division.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Four years of relevant experience.
- Requirements may be met through a combination of work experience and education.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in art, marketing and communications or related field
- 1-3 years professional experience
- Experience with multi-platform communications, including video production and editing, photography and desk top publishing using Adobe Creative Cloud
- Experience with project management and social media management tools i.e. WorkZone and Sprout Social
- Experience in client relations
- Experience with social media and storytelling
- Ability to work within strict deadlines
- Effective interpersonal communication skills with a variety of constituencies
