Job Summary

Own WCMA’s integrated communications program, aligning member education, external media outreach, and event-focused marketing to raise visibility and engagement across the dairy industry.

  • Member communications, social content, website updates, and media relations across major events.
  • Video production, asset management, and branding support to ensure consistent messaging for CheeseExpo and the World Championship Cheese Contest.
  • Content development for press materials, newsletters, and campaigns with strong writing and cross-stakeholder collaboration.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic member communications and external outreach for WCMA, coordinating education, content creation, media relations, and event marketing to elevate brand and industry presence.
  • Own member-facing and external communications, social content, and WCMA website updates to amplify member education and engagement.
  • Collaborate on video production, photo/video asset management, and branding support to ensure consistent messaging across events like CheeseExpo and the World Championship Cheese Contest.

Requirements

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills for press releases, newsletters, and content creation
  • Proficiency in media relations and social media management, including crafting compelling posts and managing multiple platforms
  • Experience in developing and implementing communication strategies to achieve organizational goals
  • Skills in research and content development to support promotional campaigns and industry-related initiatives
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Familiarity with digital tools, analytics, and content management systems is highly valued
  • Preference for a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Experience in the food, agriculture, or dairy industry would be a plus
