Job Description

Responsibilities

  • You\'ll be at the helm of our vibrant communications calendar, ensuring timely, on-brand content that resonates with our mission.
  • You\'ll serve as the linchpin for communication with staff, community members, and partners, guaranteeing that SwimRVA\'s brand is consistently and accurately represented.
  • Collaborating closely with the Assistant Director of Communications, you\'ll execute strategic campaigns and provide insightful performance updates.
  • Your keen eye for detail will uphold our brand guidelines across all platforms while enhancing our online presence through engaging website and social media content.
  • You\'ll also drive mission-driven storytelling initiatives in partnership with the Development team, supporting vital donor communications.
  • Moreover, your role includes managing press materials and nurturing relationships with media outlets, all while tracking performance metrics to inform future strategies.
  • Bring your creativity and organizational skills to the table as you help elevate SwimRVA\'s communication efforts to new heights!

Requirements

  • Bachelor\'s Degree in marketing, communications, new media, or a related field
  • 2+ years professional experience in communications, marketing and digital media
  • Knowledge of current digital media trends
  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, and professional printing/publishing skills are essential including ability to present concepts verbally
  • Superior project management and time management skills
  • Detail oriented and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Flexibility is key, as the role may require some nights and weekends to match the pulse of our vibrant community.
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in marketing, communications, new media, or relevant field and/or experience preferred
