Communications Manager, State and Local

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-state communication plans and scalable campaigns highlighting key priorities like AI, education, and regional investments.
• Partner with Policy, Marketing, Cloud, and leadership to align messaging, manage agency partners, and guide local spokespeople.
• Cultivate relationships with regional journalists and creators to translate complex technology into simple, compelling local stories and press opportunities.
• Produce engaging press releases, blog posts, FAQs, statements, and creative social assets tailored to audiences.
• Drive proactive PR opportunities, support local crisis communications, and oversee campaign measurement and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of experience in public relations, media relations, or internal and executive communications with technology products or services.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Preferred

• Experience in managing policy and crisis communications.
• Experience in providing communications guidance to executives and devising proactive communications strategies.
• Understanding of, and interest in the technology, political and regional media space.
• Skilled in social media, digital trends and creator engagement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated commitment and passion for social impact.
