Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with department colleagues to manage and execute news gathering, copy writing, photography, and publishing of the online school newsletters.
  • Actively cultivate and maintain relationships with school leaders and faculty to facilitate a continuous flow of school-related news and photography opportunities for school publications and social media platforms.
  • Maintain content and functionality for the school’s custom WordPress websites.
  • Build and develop email strategy for internal communications via Veracross and Constant Contact.
  • Develop content for our interactive content creation platform, Foleon.
  • Write, proofread, edit, and be edited to ensure all written content meets objectives, aligns with standards, and is error free.
  • Contribute to social media planning and content development and sharing.
  • Photograph and film large and small events, on and off-campus. Establish, manage, and maintain a highly organized system for digitally storing large photo libraries on data storage platforms.
  • Manage recurring projects such as the Seven Hills Magazine, the Annual Report, May Term brochure, Summer Program brochure, and more.
  • Manage public relations strategy and tactics.
  • Develop and foster relationships with local news and media contacts.
  • Some evening and weekend assignments.
  • Other duties as required.
