Job Summary
Drive internal and external communications, content, and storytelling for Fire Systems of Michigan.
- Own planning and execution of internal/external communications, newsletters, and marketing collateral.
- 5+ years in communications or content marketing.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging messaging across channels.
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Execute communication strategies across internal and external channels.
- Manage internal communications, including employee messaging and engagement initiatives.
- Oversee external communications such as announcements, press materials, and brand messaging.
- Plan, write, and distribute internal and external newsletters.
- Create and maintain marketing collateral for presentations, sales collateral, brochures.
- Partner with the Lead Generation Specialist to support campaigns through content creation (emails, landing pages, etc).
- Create consistent messaging across all platforms and audiences.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in communications or content marketing
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related role
- Strong writing, editing, and content development skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva for developing and editing marketing and communications materials
- Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging, and visually compelling messaging
- Experience managing multiple communication channels and projects
Preferred
- Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM tools preferred
- Service industry experience (fire protection or security a plus)
