Job Summary

Own and coordinate AzFBNs integrated communications stack across content, website, and audiences.

  • Content & Communications Ownership: Manage organization-wide calendar and copy across channels.
  • Digital Presence & Events: Maintain the website and contribute to a redesign for accessibility and storytelling.
  • Audience Outreach & Channel Ops: Promote programs to farmers, low-income families, seniors and vulnerable populations, plus social, email, and ads.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • In coordination with the Senior Manager of Communications and the Development Team, implement and manage an organization-wide communications strategy and calendar. This includes copywriting and content creation.
  • Ownership for ongoing maintenance and accuracy of the AzFBN website and deep participation in the redesign process.
  • Collecting footage and insights at AzFBN events and onsite visits with providers.
  • Assisting with promotion and outreach for AzFBN programs tailored for farmers, low-income families, seniors, and other vulnerable populations.
  • Managing and reporting on AzFBN’s social media presence, email marketing, and ads.
  • Managing branded merchandise and printed collateral.
  • Other duties that support the AzFBN vision of a hunger-free Arizona.

Requirements

  • Key Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to tailor messages to different audiences with awareness of accessibility in communications.
  • Familiarity with Meta, email marketing platforms, Wordpress, and Google Ads.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including interviewing with a lens toward client dignity.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Minimum Qualifications for Education, Training and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) and 3-5 years experience in marketing, writing for different audiences, running social media for a group or organization, and managing contractors and vendors.
  • Familiarity with hunger and poverty issues, especially in Arizona, or willingness to learn.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
  • Valid Arizona Driver’s License and the willingness to travel routinely in Maricopa County and occasionally in other parts of the state.
  • Must have reliable transportation (company car available on a reservation basis).
