Job Summary

Assist Pioneer Institute with content, PR, and e-marketing efforts as a paid internship, in-office two days a week, focusing on social media, email campaigns, and web updates.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist in expanding Pioneer’s social media presence through creative content and strategic engagement.
  • Contribute to email marketing campaigns, including content creation and scheduling.
  • Support public relations efforts, including drafting press releases, pitching stories, and identifying reporters to pitch in new markets.
  • Collaborate on website updates and improvements.
  • Assist in producing weekly podcasts, including preparation and sitting in on recordings.
  • Participate in training sessions on e-marketing and nonprofit communications strategies.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will be a college junior or senior majoring in communications, political science, marketing, media, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to commit to two days per week (Wednesdays and Thursdays) in the office.

Preferred

  • Experience with Canva for graphic design.
  • Experience with social media platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and Instagram.
  • Basic video editing skills preferred but not necessary.
  • Basic knowledge of web design (preferred but not required).
  • Strong motivation, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
