Job Summary

Own and coordinate MLBPA communications research and briefing materials, draft issue summaries and reports, manage press release distribution and media lists, and contribute to special communications projects.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • News monitoring, general research (biographical, organizational, and topical)
  • Drafting and editing issue summaries, analysis, and reports
  • Distribution of press releases and maintenance of the department media list
  • Other special communications projects as needed

Requirements

  • Recent college graduate from an accredited university with a degree in public relations, communications, sports management, economics, English, or labor relations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with the Microsoft suite of programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and experience using the Internet as a communications and research tool.
  • Knowledge of Major and Minor League Baseball Players
  • Fluency in Spanish Preferred but not required
