Communications Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain GPG’s communication efforts, both internally and externally.
• Assist in the development and execution of comprehensive communication strategies, initiatives, and project facilitation.
• Collaborate across all departments and teams and work closely with the Director of Strategic Communications and Engagement and the VP of Corporate Affairs to achieve department goals.
• Develop internal and external communication materials, coordinate communication initiatives, and support department projects.
• Help lead GPGives, our philanthropy and community engagement program, and keep projects and communication requests moving on time across departments.

Requirements

• College degree in related field – communications, journalism, marketing, business, public affairs, English, or graphic design is required.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Must have ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize tasks responsibly.
• High attention to detail, strong project planning and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at the same time.
• Experience coordinating projects or workflows from start to finish, such as tracking requests, timelines, and approvals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Writing samples may be required upon request.
• Must be able to travel occasionally depending on business need.
• This is an on-site position. Due to the nature and responsibilities of the role, remote work is not available.
• Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record that meets company policy, insurance, and DMV requirements.

Preferred

• Graphic design experience.
• Experience with community outreach, volunteer programs, philanthropy, or event coordination preferred.
